Hi, folks!

For the past two weeks, I’ve been digging into the state’s flawed voter registration system. Texas is one of eight states without universal voter registration, and on top of that, we’re dealing with software glitches that have added to an already huge backlog of voter registration records that election officials are having to work through.

I’m still pushing for answers and accountability.

What have your experiences registering to vote in Texas been like? Which route did you take to register? Did you mail in your application? Did you register at the Texas Department of Public Safety while getting your driver’s license? Or use their web portal?

Did you encounter any issues at the polls? I want to hear about it all. You can write me at [email protected].

Here are some important election dates to keep handy:

Oct. 19: Early voting begins

Oct. 23: Mail-in ballot application deadline
Oct. 30: Early voting ends
Nov. 3: Election Day
